Air Force ROTC (AFROTC)
- Scholarships:
- High School Scholarships: Type 1 (full tuition, any school), Type 2 (up to $18,000/year), Type 7 (in-state tuition).
- In-College Scholarships: Offered to current cadets based on performance and needs.
- Coverage: Tuition/fees, $900/year book allowance, monthly stipend.
- Eligibility: U.S. citizen, age 17–23, minimum GPA/SAT/ACT, medical and physical standards.
- Application: Online, interviews, fitness assessment.
- Stipends:
- Monthly: $300 (freshman), $350 (sophomore), $450 (junior), $500 (senior).
- Book Allowance: $900/year.
- Uniforms: Provided at no cost.
- Summer Training:
- Field Training: 2 weeks after sophomore year; leadership, physical fitness, teamwork, military skills.
- Location: Maxwell AFB, Alabama.
- Purpose: Evaluate cadet potential for commissioning.
- Commitment:
- Standard: 4 years active duty after graduation.
- Pilot/Navigator: 10 years (pilot), 6 years (navigator).
- Commission: Second Lieutenant, U.S. Air Force or Space Force.
- Career Fields: Pilot, Combat Systems, Engineering, Cyber, Intelligence, Logistics, etc.
Navy ROTC (NROTC)
- Scholarships:
- National 4-Year Scholarship: Covers full tuition/fees at participating schools.
- College Program: Non-scholarship entry, can earn scholarship later.
- Side-Entry: 2- and 3-year scholarships for current students.
- Coverage: Tuition/fees, $750/year book allowance, monthly stipend, uniforms, training travel.
- Eligibility: U.S. citizen, age 17–23, SAT/ACT minimums, medical/physical standards.
- Application: Online, interviews, fitness assessment.
- Stipends:
- Monthly: $250 (freshman), $300 (sophomore), $350 (junior), $400 (senior).
- Book Allowance: $750/year.
- Uniforms: Provided at no cost.
- Summer Training:
- Summer Cruises: 3 summers; at sea, ashore, or with Marine/Nuclear/Surface/Flight communities.
- Focus: Leadership, technical skills, shipboard life, career exploration.
- Travel: Provided by Navy, includes international opportunities.
- Commitment:
- Navy Option: 5 years active duty (Surface Warfare, Submarines, Aviation, etc.).
- Commission: Ensign, U.S. Navy.
- Career Fields: Surface Warfare, Submarines, Aviation, SEALs, EOD, Cyber, etc.
Army ROTC (AROTC)
- Scholarships:
- High School: 4-year, 3-year Advanced Designee.
- In-College: 2-, 3-, and 4-year scholarships for current students.
- Coverage: Tuition/fees or room & board (one, not both), $1,200/year book allowance, monthly stipend.
- Eligibility: U.S. citizen, age 17–26, GPA/SAT/ACT minimums, medical/physical standards.
- Application: Online, interviews, fitness assessment.
- Stipends:
- Monthly: $420/month for all contracted cadets.
- Book Allowance: $1,200/year.
- Uniforms: Provided at no cost.
- Summer Training:
- Advanced Camp: 4 weeks at Fort Knox, KY; leadership, tactics, physical fitness, team-building.
- Internships: Optional Army internships, specialty schools (Airborne, Air Assault, etc.).
- Purpose: Assess leadership and readiness for commissioning.
- Commitment:
- Active Duty: 4 years minimum.
- Reserves/National Guard: 8 years (split active/reserve).
- Commission: Second Lieutenant, U.S. Army.
- Career Fields: Infantry, Armor, Aviation, Cyber, Medical, Engineering, etc.
Marine ROTC (NROTC Marine Option)
- Scholarships:
- National 4-Year Scholarship: Covers full tuition/fees at participating schools.
- Side-Entry: 2- and 3-year scholarships for current students.
- Coverage: Tuition/fees, $750/year book allowance, monthly stipend, uniforms, training travel.
- Eligibility: U.S. citizen, age 17–23, SAT/ACT minimums, medical/physical standards.
- Application: Online, interviews, fitness assessment, Marine Officer Selection Board.
- Stipends:
- Monthly: $250 (freshman), $300 (sophomore), $350 (junior), $400 (senior).
- Book Allowance: $750/year.
- Uniforms: Provided at no cost.
- Summer Training:
- Officer Candidate School (OCS): 6 weeks at Quantico, VA; leadership, physical fitness, military skills.
- Summer Cruises: Marine-specific training, leadership labs, field exercises.
- Purpose: Evaluate and prepare for commissioning as Marine Officer.
- Commitment:
- Active Duty: 4 years minimum.
- Commission: Second Lieutenant, U.S. Marine Corps.
- Career Fields: Ground, Aviation, Logistics, Communications, Intelligence, etc.
